Mattress Spray: 7-15%
Sportzyme: 60-100%
Odour Eliminator: 5-10% (of concentrate)

The percentages of cultures in each product are bacterial cultures/viable cultures or live, dormant bacteria. They stay dormant until sprayed, once a food source (sweat, dust mite feces, etc) is available they become active and biodegrade the matter into CO2 and water. Each product contains various enzymes designed for different situations. There are 57 different strengths of enzymes used for the different products. For example, Odour Eliminator is designed to remove odours, although a more concentrated bacterium (Sportzyme) is required to eliminate sweat from sports equipment. The Lotus Mattress Cleaner contains a different variety of micro-organisms (also know as enzymes).

Mattress Cleaner:
This unique patented product eliminates and removes all organic waste found inside a mattress. It is also environmentally friendly and biodegradable in nature. Lotus Mattress Cleaner will continue to work until all organic material is removed. The Lotus Mattress Cleaner contains "enzymes" consisting of bacteria that is a Non-Pathogenic, defined as a known disease-causing bacteria. The enzymes feed on dust mites, feces, pet dander, organic matter and dead skin cells. The enzymes are like a protein (complex proteins extracted from living cells) that feed on all the above and will continue too until all are eradicated. Once there is no longer anything left for the enzymes to feed on they disintegrate, thus eliminating your mattress pillows etc. of allergy causing matter within your treated items. This product does not require dilution therefore the percentage of cultures remains the same.

It will take approx. one month for the Lotus Mattress Cleaner to work its way through the entire mattress, reapply 6 months later (5 months for asthmatic home). A queen size mattress would require 8 – 10 sprays over one side of the mattress. There is no need to saturate; one pump of the spray bottle contains 20 million bacteria spores.

Sportzyme:
This spray has the highest concentration of cultures. It was developed to biodegrade the bacteria found on hockey equipment, gym bags, shoe fungi etc.

It is beneficial in eliminating fungal residues i.e. athletes foot.

Sportzyme is chemical-free, dye-free; does not work well on areas treated with bleach or disinfectant – if surface has been treated with either please let the surface dry completely before using Sportzyme. Works within 4-5 minutes after application, as long as the food source is available. Bacteria food source are things like sweat, athletes foot, molds, fungal organisms; once sprayed the bacteria release enzymes that break down the particles into smaller pieces that the bacteria then eat, digest and convert to water and carbon dioxide (CO2).

Odour Eliminator:
The odour eliminator is a concentrate that is to be diluted, 30 ml of Odour Eliminator to 2 liters of water. When used in the Norwex Spray bottle add 1 tsp of Odour Eliminator to a full bottle of water (8 oz). The 5 - 10% of cultures are based on the full concentration. MSD sheets are required for what is actually in the bottle in full concentration. There is a shelf life of three years for undiluted Odour Eliminator, provided it is kept tightly capped and out of the direct sunlight.

Designed to deodorize; the smell of a room, sprayed in garbage cans, put into a washing machine to take out odours in fabrics, etc. Effective on hockey equipment, however the Sportzyme product is recommended to breakdown bacteria that causes odour found in sports equipment. This is not a disinfectant; it is designed to breakdown organic odour found throughout the home or work place.

The label on the Odour Eliminator indicates not to get it on skin, eyes or clothing; it is Canadian law that ensures we put this label on the bottle. May also be used in the washing machine and it is effective at making the clothes smell fresh. Put it in the rinse cycle of your washing machine, this way the smell is not rinsed away during the wash cycle.
